Dear Gateway Stake Family,
This weekend, Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th, we will hold the Gilbert Arizona Gateway Stake Conference. How the hearts of those, who have been asked to speak, are already pumping. 🙂 We appreciate every hand that has already participated in making this a meaningful weekend. Normal scheduled ward meetings have been cancelled to hold Stake Conference at these times:
- Saturday Priesthood Leadership Session: 4pm on Sat, Sept 26th at the Stake Center (2233 S Wade St, Gilbert)
- Invited are Bishoprics, High Council, Patriarchs, Stake and Ward Clerks and Secretaries, Elders Quorum Presidencies and Sunday School Presidencies, including secretaries.
- Saturday Evening Adult Session: 7pm on Sat, Sept 26th at the Stake Center (2233 S Wade St, Gilbert)
- Invited are all Adults. This session will be kept to an hour and half. We encourage friends to attend together and plan to spend time socially “going out” either before or after the Adult Session.
- Sunday Morning General Session: 10am on Sun, Sept 27th at the Stake Center (2233 S Wade St, Gilbert)
- All are invited. Please invite others to join with you as you travel to the Stake Center. Our hopes are that you will reach out to your friends and those to whom you minister so they will feel welcomed to attend. If the day is pleasant and you live near the Stake Center, please walk… asking any neighbors to walk with you.
We look forward to gathering together. Our hopes are that your family will be touched in a personal way. Brothers and Sisters, we invite those 18 years and older to join us the evening of the 26th for the Adult Evening Session. Come, bring your journal, and record the thoughts and impressions that will bless and strengthen your life. Likewise, we invite your family to join us on Sunday morning for the General Session of Stake Conference. It has been decided that Conference sessions won’t be generally broadcasted, as it was felt that we will be blessed and feel strength as we worship together. However, for a member who is homebound and unable to join us, please talk with a member of your bishopric.
In preparation for conference, we ask that you’ll consider a special invitation. As a family, please come in your largest vehicle, with the intent of inviting others to fill the seats not being occupied by your family. Be prayerful, who would appreciate your invitation to join your family in riding and sitting together in Sunday’s General Session? We specially invite you to fill your cars, so that we might together fill our hearts with the good Word of God.
Again this year, before Sunday’s General Session we’ve asked Brother Travis Thompson to lead us in worship music. Singing together will begin around 9:15am (words to the hymns will be projected for all to see)… Sunday’s General Session will begin at 10am.
We love you, the opportunity to pray and prepare messages with you in mind is humbling. We ask for your prayers in our preparation and we are doing the same for you in yours. May you forever be lifted and find physical and spiritual nourishment in our Savior.
Most Humbly,
The Stake Presidency
